Reports from various news portals suggest that a staffer at the Buckingham Palace has resigned over what has been described as racist comments.
This was after an event Tuesday at the Palace where Queen Consort, Camilla, had warned of a “global pandemic of violence against women”.
Lady-in-waiting Lady Susan Hussey quit her job after apologizing to the public and Ngozi Fulani for asking her where she comes from when she (Ngozi Fulani) was at the Palace for an event.
Ngozi Fulani who made this known in a post shared via social media said she was totally stunned by the continuous questioning from Lady Susan Hussey over her background.
She explained that the Lady-in-Waiting moved her hair aside to see her name badge and challenged her to tell her where she is from.
The Palace reacting to the issue said “The comments were unacceptable, and it is right that the individual has stepped aside with immediate effect,” they said.
