The actor was born in Seattle in 1939 and lost his left arm at the shoulder after a car crash when he was just 17 years of age.
He started performing at the University of Oregon in the 1970s and co-founded the organization Church of the Creative.
He filmed footage of a 1972 Grateful Dead concert in Veneta, Oregon that was ultimately used in the documentary film Sunshine Daydream.
The cause of Al Strobel’s death is not yet known but he died on December 2, 2022. He died at the age of 83.
